Freddy's has the best french fries in town. They have a "fry sauce" that you can dip them into that makes them awesome!
I like that their burgers are "steak" and the custard is wonderful. I'm not sure the difference between custard and ice cream, but this seems to be creamier and smoother than ice cream.
I like to get their mini concretes. You can be simple, like vanilla with cookie dough, or get complex like a turtle brownie sundae. Anyway you get the custard it's great.
If you haven't tried Freddy's in Owasso, or Tulsa, I would highly recommend at least giving them a try.
We've gone to Freddy's quite a lot over the years, and yet I never seemed to write a review, so here goes.
While being a franchise, Freddy's still slings a pretty good burger. Patties are ground steak (as is obvious from the name) and cooked to order. This works out well, since the patties are of the thin variety, as opposed to the thick burger variant served by some places. Not that one is better than the other. I like them both in their own turn, and both bring it.
One of the things I really like from Freddy's is their fries. Thin, bordering on shoestring, I could eat a pound of them and not flinch.
We usually gravitate between the Double meat cheeseburger for The Wife and The Son, and the Patty Melt for me. I love a good Patty Melt, and Freddy's does them right.
Freddy's fill a nice niche between the bistro style burger joints, and the greasy spoon dive burger joint. Service is always polite and friendly, which is a plus, and the to go orders have always been right... which is a HUGE plus.
Overall, a great mid-tier burger joint in Owasso.
What's good: old school style burger with the edges around it. Moist, ten tender and delicious on a soft bun. Quick turnaround for made to order. Cheap. ( inexpensive) and friendly server
What not: not a thing. Wish it was near me
Freddys is consistent with whatever you would expect from a franchise restaurant. The staff is always friendly, the restaurant is always clean, and the frozen custard is the next best thing to gelato in all of Oklahoma. Keep in mind that steak burger patties are always thinner than traditional hamburger patties, so you may want to double or even triple up if you're a big carnivore. The fried pickles are great & you can't go wrong w a build your own sundae.
First time trying Freddy out. Friendly service and great portion of food and the burgers doesn't taste like your typical McDonalds. Great steak burgers.
